Maddy and Marcus were wed on May 18, 2019, at Riverside Presbyterian Church with a reception at 3 Palms Grille.

Hang in with me everyone, this is going to be a long one :)

What can be said about Maddy and Marcus? The truth of the matter is, I don't know how to put my thoughts into words. They simply are the best!

In 11 years of shooting weddings, seeing such a perfect couple is extremely rare. Back story: I met Maddy and Marcus about 2 years ago now. They were interviewing photographers and I was lucky enough to be on that list. We met at the 3 Palms Grille (where the reception would take place) where Maddy's mom would be joining us. I still get a little nervous before meeting potential wedding clients, more so when parents are in attendance. Then to add on the pressure, Maddy and Marcus are wedding vendors themselves! I have never gotten to shoot for another vendor in that capacity. They run Mark Aria Entertainment offering DJ, Photo Booth, and Officiant services.

They were amazing! All of them! Just plain amazing. We were laughing and never once did I see anything but a smile on their faces. Bonus: Maddy's mom was so GENUINELY excited for the couple! That excitement was apparent throughout the wedding and reception too :) It was so awesome to witness.

The fact that they chose me to photograph for them (later adding Lee on for Video) was one of the best things to happen to me in the "industry".

I'll be breaking up the blog into a couple of categories so keep scrolling to see it all...

Ceremony and Prep details:

Maddy got ready at Nancy Salano, Inc with the Salanos Duo providing hair and Beauty by Krysten Moore as the makeup artist.  Then Maddy started heading to the church to get into her dress.  Her dress was an Alfred Angelo and her ladies dresses were from Azazie

Marcus and his gentlemen wore Michael Kors supplied by Black Tie Events.

Maddy and Marcus' jewelry was purchased from Beards Jewelry. While all stationary and programs were designed on Zazzle. Maddy's florals were purchased at Pennock Wholesale Florist and arranged by their Planner at Candy Glam Creations.

Riverside Presbyterian Church holds a special significance for Maddy, as her family have been members there for decades and this is where her father's ashes were spread. What a fantastic way to incorporate a departed loved one into a wedding day! Even more importantly, this is where we captured their first look. Marcus patiently waited for his bride to be, and got to take a few moments to speak to Maddy's Dad, if only in spirit.

For those who don't know what a "First look" is or are contemplating having one on their wedding day - Do it! First looks are when the bride and groom are set up to see each other before the ceremony. There are several variations of this.  It's not for everyone, I understand. However, it is such an unforgettable experience. I won't get too deep into it here, but look for a later blog post on First Looks for a full picture.

Seriously, just look at the emotion on Marcus's face... WORTH IT!

Following the first look, we were able to shoot bridal party photos and family photos before the ceremony even began. With such a drive to the reception location, this was a blessing! We got all the hard stuff done before the ceremony. That gave us after the ceremony to party!

The church is absolutely gorgeous! It made for a stunning backdrop and setting for their nuptials.

After a beautiful service, we all packed up and headed to the 3 Palms Grille in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Maddy and Marcus were introduced in as man and wife to a lively bunch and lots of cheers. Then went straight into their first dance. Every photo reflects their joy. I don't believe either of them could have been happier!

Maddy shared a dance with her mom and brother followed by Marcus with his mom. Two joyous families were united and it showed.

Catering and dinner was provided by 3 Palms Grille, including the mini grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters <3

The couple shared a cupcake provided by Cupcake Fifty Etc. SO YUMMY!

Not only did this power couple provide the photo booth, but they provided the DJ service too. During the beginning of the reception, an associate was left in charge of the tunes, but Marcus made sure to rock the dance floor later in the evening - cheered proudly on by his beautiful wife.

As the night came to a close, the couple chose giant glowsticks with custom stickers as their exit tool (also provided by Candy Glam).

Maddy and Marcus, congratulations to you both! I am so happy to call you friends. Your love is unforgettable <3 Here's to many more years!

If you need a DJ, Photobooth, Officiant - GIVE MADDY AND MARCUS A CALL!
